MedBox Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 2026
In short: your data lives only on your device and in your own iCloud. We have no servers of our own. We do not collect, analyze, or sell your data.
What data the app handles
- Medication info: names, dosages, schedules, and stock counts you enter
- Dose logs: taken / skipped / missed records you check in
- Health measurements: blood pressure, glucose, weight, heart-rate readings and custom metrics you enter — stored only on your device and in your own iCloud (your private database only, never the family-sharing zone), and used for nothing else
- Family-sharing events: if you enable Family Remote Monitoring, missed / skipped / late-dose events sync to the family members you invite (read-only for them)
Where data is stored
- On device: all data is stored locally with SwiftData; the device is the source of truth
- Your iCloud (Apple CloudKit): when signed in, data syncs and backs up across your own devices via Apple CloudKit. Family Remote Monitoring syncs the events above through your own iCloud shared zone to family members you explicitly invited. Everything travels through Apple's official channels — the developer has no self-hosted server and cannot access your data
- Camera (pill-box scanner): frames are processed on-device solely for text recognition to fill in fields for you. No photos are saved; no images are ever uploaded
- PDF reports: generated locally; leave the device only when you choose to share them
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics SDKs
- No ads, no user profiling
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties
- No tracking identifiers
In-app purchases
MedBox Pro is a one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store under Apple's privacy policy; we never see or store your payment details. Only the unlocked state is recorded on your device.
Feedback
Emails you send from the About page are used solely to reply to you: huihuiy@gmail.com
Deleting your data
- Delete medications in-app, or use About → Reset to erase all local data
- iCloud copies can be removed in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected here and in the app, with an updated effective date.
